Job Description: About the position
For the technical support and further development of our site, we are looking for a Project Engineer at the earliest possible date. In this role, you will be responsible for investment projects in the pharmaceutical environment throughout their entire lifecycle, while simultaneously undertaking technical service management for buildings and facilities. You will report to the Senior Expert Site Services, Projects and work closely with the specialist departments, Purchasing, and external planning and construction partners.
Your tasks
At the center of your activity is the independent processing of investment orders as the responsible project coordinator — from participating in task definitions and specifications to Basic Engineering, permit planning, and awarding of contracts, through to realization, construction supervision, documentation, and defect rectification. In doing so, you will supervise all involved trades across service phases 1 to 9 of the HOAI.
You will develop cost estimates as well as budget and schedule planning and independently monitor their compliance. This also includes assuming partial commercial responsibility within the framework of project-related cost controlling. You will independently conduct and lead procurement negotiations for the contractual binding of planning and realization services — for small and medium-sized orders, including the technical preparation of contracts; for larger orders, with support from Purchasing.
Another focus lies in facility and property management: You will plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance and repair work of high complexity, create the associated maintenance and repair plans, and maintain them. Since we work in a GMP-regulated environment, you will ensure that the qualification status of GMP-compliant facilities is maintained during all maintenance, repair, and change measures, and consistently keep the technical documentation as well as the applicable site and area SOPs up to date. Additionally, you will participate in the on-call service of the TEW engineers.
Your profile
You have a completed university degree (Uni, TH, or FH) in a technical field — ideally building services engineering, pharmaceutical technology, Facility Management, process engineering, or civil engineering. You already possess professional experience in planning and project management as well as in maintenance and repair; knowledge of SAP (LVS) is an advantage but not a requirement. Good English skills and a Class B driver's license round off your professional profile.
Personally, you convince through conceptual and analytical thinking, strong organizational skills, as well as a clear goal and result orientation. You work cooperatively and customer-oriented, communicate appropriately with different target groups, and maintain a constructive course even in conflict situations. Initiative, decisiveness, and the willingness to take responsibility are just as important for this position as the ability to reflect and openness to change.
