Requirements

• Requirements: Academic background: Master's or PhD in: Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields. Plus: experience in academic research. Years of experience: At least 5 years. Main Activities or Functions: senior data scientist with a solid background in statistics and practical experience in data science projects in business environments. The candidate must be able to frame complex problems as modeling problems, carry out rigorous research cycles, and provide reproducible solutions that can be integrated by engineering teams. This position involves close collaboration with a machine learning (ML) engineering team. The candidate is expected to have clear judgment regarding their responsibilities within said ecosystem, as well as the necessary discipline to work following software engineering standards, and not just analysis standards. Technical Profile Detail (Programming languages, frameworks, DB, tools): Advanced mastery of Python as the primary and sole development language. Solid knowledge of data science and machine learning (ML) libraries: Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, Pandas, Polars, Statsmodels, SciPy, TensorFlow or XGBoost, PyTorch. Experience with deep learning models (TensorFlow or XGBoost, PyTorch). Advanced SQL, PySpark, Git. AI Experience.
