College Counselor / Consejero Universitario - Zona 08 de Mixco, San Cristobal

Job Objective:

Develop and lead the College Counseling department, accompanying high school students in the planning of their university trajectory, construction of university lists, preparation of national and international applications, standardized tests, and scholarship searches, as well as establishing relationships with universities and families.

Main Functions:

• Guide students in the selection of universities and the planning of their admission process.
• Accompany and manage applications to national and international universities.
• Advise on essays, recommendation letters, standardized tests, and visa processes.
• Research and follow up on scholarship and financial aid opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with universities, admissions offices, and educational organizations.
• Coordinate fairs, university visits, and workshops for students and families.
• Create and manage the school profile, application platforms, and admissions calendar.
• Develop department indicators and reports for management.
• Train teachers in university recommendation processes.

Requirements:

• 3 years or more of verifiable experience in college counseling, university admissions, guidance in bilingual schools, or international educational advisory.
• Having accompanied at least one full cycle of university applications, from university selection to acceptance.
• Completed Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Communication, International Relations, Administration, or a related field.
• Professional English, preferably certified C1 or C2.
• Availability to work on-site in San Cristóbal, Mixco.
• Availability for occasional travel for fairs and congresses.
