About project:
We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our client's team! Our client is a software provider for the automotive industry, helping car dealerships digitise the customer experience – from sales to aftersales.

We want you to join our team. We are neither the agency giving you projects from time to time, nor a huge corporation where you are a "dev XYZ". At Idego - you matter!
Daily tasks
- Build and maintain automated data regression tests for the migration from a legacy Postgres warehouse to Snowflake: query validation, integration tests on real data, scheduled reconciliation (row counts, IDs, checksums, freshness) and monitoring of schema and data changes.
- Analyse production comparison results, classify mismatches and give go / no-go recommendations for each rollout stage.
- Build an API regression suite (contract or snapshot tests) for critical endpoints, running in GitLab CI on every change.
- Take ownership of the existing Playwright framework: stabilise it, remove flaky tests, extend it to critical user journeys and add post-deployment smoke tests.
- Learn the business domain in depth and run structured exploratory and edge-case testing (roles, markets, time zones, large data volumes, browsers).
- Run non-functional tests: performance and load, fallback and rollback, tenant isolation and personal data protection.
- Prepare anonymised test data and test accounts, and coordinate UAT with business stakeholders.
- Report defects in Jira, retest fixes, deliver a quality report every sprint and work shift-left within two-week Scrum sprints.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in test automation for web applications, writing code in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Strong Playwright skills (or another modern framework), including the Page Object Model.
- Experience in API testing (REST, contract or snapshot tests).
- Strong SQL, including reconciliation and data quality queries on large tables.
- Experience testing data migrations, data pipelines or data warehouses.
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD (GitLab CI or similar) and reporting results.
- A structured approach to exploratory testing and clear, precise defect reporting.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems and handling personal data (GDPR).
- Professional written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Snowflake (dynamic tables, query history, EXPLAIN) and PostgreSQL.
- Performance and load testing (k6, Artillery or similar).
- NestJS, Jest, Vitest, React.
- AWS (CloudWatch, AppConfig), feature flags and progressive rollouts.
- Keycloak or other OAuth/OIDC identity providers.
- Experience in the automotive industry or with dealer software.
Must have: Playwright, SQL, REST, TypeScript
Nice to have: Snowflake, Nest.js
