Junior Accountant

Execute and follow up on the company's accounting operations, ensuring the timely and correct recording of transactions, the integration of financial information, and compliance with tax obligations, in accordance with current accounting policies and regulations.

Main responsibilities

• Record and review accounting operations, ensuring the correct classification of accounts.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and analysis of accounting accounts.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and accounting reports.
• Participate in monthly accounting closing processes.
• Prepare and follow up on documentation related to tax obligations.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and fiscal controls.
• Review accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Keep accounting files and supporting documents updated.
• Attend to audit requirements and provide supporting documentation.
• Identify differences or inconsistencies and follow up on their correction.

Requirements

• Academic background: Perito Contador.
• University studies: Student of Contaduría Pública y Auditoría, preferably in the early years of the degree.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years in accounting positions, such as Accounting Assistant or Junior Accountant.
• Experience in accounting records, bank reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Knowledge in the preparation of financial statements.
• Basic-intermediate knowledge of tax obligations.
• Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level.
• Desirable experience in accounting systems/ERP.
