Java Application Architect
Your role Do you want to play a key role in shaping a future-oriented application architecture while simultaneously staying close to practice? As a Java Application Architect, you will be part of the application architecture team and actively contribute to building a robust and evolvable IT landscape.
You translate practical insights into improvements of the architecture plan and collaborate with other architects on guidelines and architecture decisions (ADRs), which you communicate clearly and anchor within the teams.
As a domain architect, you safeguard the consistency and quality of the application architecture within your domain, in line with the IT strategy. You are involved from design to implementation, support teams with technical choices, and switch smoothly between architecture, coding, code reviews, and coaching.
You stimulate innovation while simultaneously overseeing the stability and evolution of technical building blocks. In this way, you make a concrete contribution to a high-performance and future-oriented IT environment.
Your profile You hold a Master's in Computer Science or can demonstrate equivalent experience. You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Java development and 5 years of experience in application architecture.
You have thorough knowledge of the Java language and its associated ecosystem and are familiar with modern architecture styles (such as clean architecture, hexagonal architecture, or similar concepts). You also know how to apply these concretely within projects. Additionally, you have experience in modeling application architectures (for example, via C4 or ArchiMate).
Experience in leading or coaching a team, for example as a team leader or Scrum Master, is a plus. Knowledge of Agile project management is an extra advantage.
You have a learning mindset. Your sense of analysis and synthesis enables you to deliver high-quality work while always respecting deadlines. Thanks to your critical eye, you know how to quickly grasp problems and apply solutions effectively.
You have good oral knowledge of French and English. Finally, you are also able to write documentation fluently in English.
