Job Description

Responsible for the full lifecycle of mission-critical R&D applications, including platform management, infrastructure strategy, vendor management, product roadmap, budget management, and continuous service improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end responsibility for mission-critical engineering applications throughout their entire lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with the business team, engineering/design, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time according to the PMO process
• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligned with business objectives
• Prioritize features and manage the product backlog to maximize value for the customer and the business
• The role sits at the intersection of infrastructure management, application management, product ownership, vendor management, and financial management. You act as the person ultimately responsible for both the technical platform and the value this platform delivers to the business
• Translate customer needs and insights into detailed product requirements and user stories in Jira
• Monitor performance, analyze data, and drive continuous improvements after product launch
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to gather feedback, validate ideas, ensure successful product adoption, and provide support
• Manage product budgets, both CAPEX and OPEX, including involvement in PO activities, forecasting financial impact, and making data-driven decisions to optimize long-term costs

Who are you?

• You have a master's degree or equivalent experience
• 6-10 years of experience in the role (Application Platform Manager/Technical Service Owner)
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux platforms for executing and maintaining application deployments
• Experience in designing and planning infrastructure for the implementation of custom applications
• Experience managing license servers and associated tools, such as FlexLM or LMtools, including license updates, troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors for renewals
• Experience administering and managing ALM platforms, such as PTC products
• Experience managing application upgrades and migrations, and performing disaster recovery (DR) activities
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams for the design and delivery of projects
• Willingness and flexibility to work outside normal office hours for upgrades and migrations when necessary
• Good knowledge and understanding of containerization platforms, such as AWS ECS or similar platforms
• Good knowledge of end-to-end infrastructure technologies
• Providing end-user support to R&D engineers for custom applications and resolving BAU issues
• Strong skills in product and project management

• ITIL4, project management, AWS CloudOps/Solutions Architect, and a Product Owner certification (PSPO/CSPO)
• Languages
• Fluent English, Dutch is a plus

This is a long-term project, scheduled until 2031.
