Data Governance Manager

Your role Within the Data Office, you will play a key role in setting up and driving modern, coherent, and data-valorization-oriented data governance. You will help make the organization more data-driven by guiding teams in implementing common standards, practices, and tools.

Key responsibilities:

• Defining the roles and responsibilities for Data and stimulating operational governance.
• Leading the Data Governance & Data Quality team and reporting to the Chief Data Officer.
• Organizing and preparing the quarterly Data Council to ensure strategic alignment and prioritization of data initiatives.
• Coordinating and guiding data stewards in drafting the business glossary, managing metadata, and the continuous improvement of data quality.
• Leading the Data Community and acting as an ambassador for the data culture within the organization.
• Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of tools for metadata management (catalog, glossary, dictionary) and data quality (business rules, validation engines).
• Measuring data quality according to European standards and coordinating the correction of deviations.
• Defining and disseminating standards, policies, and best practices in the field of data management, creating awareness for new regulatory frameworks such as the European Data Governance Act, the AI Act, and the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
• Collaborating with the BI and AI teams to ensure harmonized and semantically consistent data modeling.
• Contributing to the improvement of data maturity through a data literacy program in collaboration with the Human Resources department.
• Participating in collaboration initiatives with external partners (HDA, IMA, BOSA, etc.).

Your profile You have a master's degree in Computer Science/Economics or equivalent experience, ideally supplemented by training in Data management.

You have at least 5 years of experience in data management or data governance in a large organization.

You have basic knowledge of tools for data quality management and metadata management, such as Collibra or Data Hub.

You have good knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and privacy regulations (GDPR); experience with BPMN or conceptual modeling is a plus.

You distinguish yourself through your analytical skills, your ability to synthesize matters, and your result-oriented approach.

Thanks to your excellent communication skills and your sense of coaching, you can bring transversal teams together.

You have a good knowledge of French and functional command of English.
