Role Description The Branch Unit Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Kampala, responsible for overseeing and growing a branch’s insurance, pensions, and investment portfolio. Day-to-day tasks include supervising and mentoring sales agents, setting performance targets, and monitoring branch sales activities and results. The role involves developing and implementing branch-level business plans, driving customer acquisition and retention, and ensuring high standards of customer service. The Branch Unit Leader will conduct regular training and coaching sessions, support agents in field activities, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role also includes preparing performance reports, identifying market opportunities, and collaborating with management to improve branch operations and achieve strategic objectives. Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising sales or customer-facing teams. Strong sales, business development, and customer relationship management skills in financial services or a related sector. Ability to plan, organize, and execute branch-level strategies, including target setting, performance tracking, and reporting. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and motivate diverse teams. Sound understanding of insurance, pensions, and investment products, or strong willingness and ability to learn quickly. Proven problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and integrity. Comfort working in an on-site, performance-driven environment in Kampala, with readiness for field work and client visits. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an added advantage. Prior experience in branch management, agency leadership, or financial services distribution is highly beneficial.
