(Senior) R&D Engineer Electrical Engineering (m/f/d) (Engineer - Electrical Engineering)
Job Description
Is the identification of weaknesses in electro-optical sensors the area where you want to contribute your expertise and continue to grow? Do you want to design technically demanding projects and exchange ideas closely with experienced colleagues?
Our Defence & Security division is specially committed to the armed forces and is a recognized technical service provider at national and international levels in the conception of solutions, the support of analysis, development, and realization projects, and the provision of services.
Activities
- Circuit design with microcontrollers and FPGA (HDL development, implementation, verification)
- Development in the field of analog, digital, and mixed-signal (e.g., ADC/DAC, PLL, amplifier)
- Conception and realization of own measurement systems and modules for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) tests
- Responsibility for circuit design from specification through PCB layout to manufacturing with external contractors
- Commissioning, testing, and debugging of hardware in laboratory and field environments
- Leading and participating in design reviews, ensuring quality, functionality, and manufacturability
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Completed engineering degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or technical computer science (M.Sc./B.Sc.) or comparable
- Sound knowledge in analog, digital, and mixed-signal design
- Proficient in using commissioning and testing tools (oscilloscope, power supply, measurement technology)
- Experience in the field of circuit design: from concepts through simulation (e.g., SPICE) to manufacturing (PCB selection, DFM) would be desirable
- Experience with microcontroller- and FPGA-based designs in the embedded environment would be ideal
- Independent, proactive way of working, solution orientation, and strong communication skills; proficient in English, both written and spoken
Goals
Become part of our R&D team and help shape the further development of electro-optical sensors. The goal is to analyze their performance and identify weaknesses – in close cooperation with experienced colleagues and with room for your own ideas.
