Job Description
In our "Systems and Platforms Land Combat Support" department, we work on the analysis and introduction of complex military systems of the Army that are currently under development, as well as the transition to the usage phase, the production, and the maintenance of operational readiness.
The Defence & Security business unit is specifically committed to the armed forces and is a recognized technical service provider at national and international levels in the conception of solutions, the support of analysis, development, and realization projects, and the provision of services.
Activities
- Management of projects, guidance, and technical leadership of the employees assigned to the projects
- Analysis and evaluation of technologies and concepts for the requirements of the customer (the Army) and taking over project management with interdisciplinary project teams
- Supporting our customer in the development, introduction, and use of Army systems, as well as with questions regarding infrastructure requirements and the protection of real estate and critical infrastructure
- Conducting market analyses and observations as well as identification of future business fields for the division
- Creation of offers for tailored solutions for our customers in the Bundeswehr
- Competent handling of internal and external interlocutors as well as the maintenance of a trusting customer contact with representatives of the Army, the public client, and industry
- Taking responsibility for the integration of cross-sectional competencies, both within the division and across divisions
Requirements
- University degree in Civil Engineering or comparable, preferably also a Doctorate or MBA
- Experience in a military environment or previous activity as a soldier of the Bundeswehr
- Knowledge in the field of project management as well as in the infrastructure process of the Bundeswehr is an advantage
- Operational understanding of the deployment of military systems of the Army
- Outstanding analytical skills as well as the will for continuous updating of knowledge regarding current and new technologies
- An inherent high degree of reliability and initiative
- Fluent English skills in speaking and writing

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for the integration of cross-sectional competencies within the division, as well as across divisions, for a system. Together with the Department Head, you are the essential contact person for the customer for your projects and offer our customers excellent consulting services in all phases of the product life cycle for complex technical systems.
