IT Engineer - Lab & Manufacturing IT (Tier 2/3)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to provide Tier 2/3 technical support across specialised Lab and Manufacturing IT environments.

The successful candidate will support system reliability, security and operational readiness while working closely with regional and global technical teams. Experience supporting biotechnology, laboratory, manufacturing or other regulated environments would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for Lab and Manufacturing systems while ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to service levels
• Manage and resolve incidents and service requests through ServiceNow
• Deploy and maintain software, operating-system patches and security tools using SCCM or similar platforms
• Troubleshoot complex endpoint, server, application and infrastructure issues
• Perform root-cause analysis and communicate technical findings clearly
• Support Windows Server, Linux and cloud-connected environments
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file-sharing services and related infrastructure
• Support basic network, database and firewall administration activities
• Use PowerShell, SQL or similar tools to automate routine tasks
• Prepare and maintain work instructions, test plans, technical documentation and knowledge-base articles
• Support regional and global IT projects in accordance with security and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate system configurations and documentation for audits and operational readiness

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant desktop or end-user support experience
• Strong experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems
• Working knowledge of Linux and cloud services
• Experience with SCCM or a comparable endpoint-management platform
• Experience in patch management, software deployment and incident management
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, databases, networking and firewall administration
• Familiarity with PowerShell, SQL queries or similar scripting tools
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to work effectively with regional and global teams
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred
• ITIL knowledge and relevant Microsoft certifications are advantageous
• Experience in biotechnology, laboratory, manufacturing or regulated environments is preferred

Employment details

• Location: Singapore
• Employment type: 12-month contract, renewable annually
• Monthly salary: S$4,200 to S$4,500

Eligibility Applicants must already have unrestricted authorization to work in Singapore. Visa sponsorship is not available.
