Mechanical/Piping Engineer - with experience

At I-MEGA, an engineering sector company located in Campana, province of Bs. As., we are looking for a SENIOR Mechanical / Piping Engineer with solid technical autonomy to join our team under an in-person modality at our Campana offices.

Your tasks

You will have the opportunity to lead and develop challenging engineering projects for process plants and industrial facilities, contributing your experience in the design of piping, pipelines, and mechanical equipment to ensure the success of each deliverable.

• Autonomous development and technical leadership in Piping engineering: process plant layout, 3D modeling and routing of piping, design and calculation of special supports, review of isometric drawings and material lists (MTO).
• Pipeline engineering development: route design, planimetry/altimetry, surface installations (scraper traps, pumping/compression stations, block valves), special crossings, and thickness calculation.
• Piping and pipeline flexibility analysis (Stress Analysis), verification of allowable stresses and loads on nozzles of rotating and static equipment.
• Design, calculation, technical specification, and evaluation of mechanical process equipment (pressure vessels, API storage tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, and compressors).
• Preparation and review of technical material specifications (Piping Classes), Data Sheets, calculation reports, and purchase requisitions.
• Execution and supervision of engineering in its different stages: Conceptual, Basic (FEED), and Detail Engineering.
• Technical assistance, mentoring, and review of deliverables for Junior and Semi-Senior designers in the sector.
• Interdisciplinary articulation (with Processes, Civil/Structures, and E&I) to ensure project integration and the resolution of interferences in the 3D model.
• Technical surveys at client plants (Campana / Zárate industrial and petrochemical hub and surroundings) and direct technical dealings with client inspection.
• Preparation of quantities, cost analysis, man-hour (HH) estimations, and technical scopes for plant and pipeline project tenders.
• Technical assistance to the prefabrication workshop and assembly contractors on-site.

Requirements

Our search is oriented towards profiles of: Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineer with extensive proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refineries, or Process Plant projects and advanced mastery of 3D modeling and calculation tools (CADWorx, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoPIPE / CAESAR II or similar).

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Reside in Campana, Zárate, or surrounding areas (mandatory due to in-person modality).
• Mandatory experience in a Senior position (minimum 5 to 8 years) developing Piping, Pipeline, and Mechanical engineering for process plants, refineries, petrochemicals, or fields (Oil & Gas).
• Deep mastery of sector codes and regulations: ASME B31.3 (process piping), ASME B31.4 / B31.8 (pipelines), ASME Section VIII (pressure vessels), API 650 / 610, ANSI, and AWS.
• Advanced handling of specific plant and piping software: AutoCAD, CADWorx, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and flexibility software (AutoPIPE or CAESAR II).
• Strong technical leadership, communication, autonomy, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
