Quality Technician (m/f/d)

We are looking for you, starting immediately, in full-time for a well-known company from the defense industry at the Essen location.

Your tasks:

• Coordination, participation, analysis, and follow-up of internal and external quality reports including ERP documentation and maintenance
• Coordination and implementation of root cause analyses
• Definition, implementation, and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions
• Communication with internal specialist departments as well as customers and suppliers, troubleshooting at the supplier. (Coordinate external support if necessary)
• Support during audits (internal/external) and ensuring compliance with standards
• Implementation of supplier developments in coordination with the internal functions at the location
• Independent planning and implementation of audits at suppliers, including initiation, evaluation, and monitoring of corrective actions at suppliers
• Moderation of FRB / MRB rounds
• Taking on the Quality role in the team during the creation of the process-FMEA
• Review of the inspection planning (inspection cards, measurement value protocols, implementation of random samples, etc.)
• Support in the implementation of configuration management
• Granting release for delivery with the creation of the corresponding product-related certificates
• Preparation of decision-ready templates on the above-mentioned topics, as well as initiation of corrective actions, action tracking, and reporting
• Authority to release and block products and processes
• Training and sensitization of employees in handling quality reports and representation of the QA function in Essen if required

Your profile:

• Successfully completed university engineering degree or completed technical college training or comparable qualification with a focus on mechanics and several years of industrial experience
• Several years of professional experience in quality inspection, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry
• Additional training in quality management, e.g., Manager Qualitätssicherung (DGQ) or comparable
• Sound knowledge of common quality methods such as 8D, Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA, and 5M
• Conceptual, result-oriented, and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong analytical skills as well as systematic and structured approach
• High level of initiative, independent action, and resilience
• Teamwork skills as well as constructive handling of conflicts with simultaneous assertiveness and willingness to compromise
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
• Very good English skills in speaking and writing
• Confident handling of SAP and MS Office
• Willingness to travel
