For our customer, a leading technology company in the defense and security industry in Penzberg, we are looking for a Specialist Customs and Export Control (m/f/d)

What awaits you?

• Support and representation of the Customs and Export Control Officer in all operational and administrative activities
• Contact person for compliance with export control requirements in the areas of export control law (DE/EU/US), the Kriegswaffenkontrollgesetz (KrWaffKontrG), and customs
• Collaboration in the application, administration, deadline tracking, modification, extension, and monitoring of conditions for permits and other official notices
• Monitoring of import and export processes, incl.
• Assessment, release, and documentation of all business transactions with regard to export control law (DE/EU/US), the KrWaffKontrG, and customs
• Cooperation and ensuring communication with all internal and external bodies involved in the licensing process (e.g., BAFA, Zoll)
• Participation in the preparation and accompaniment of authority audits (e.g., foreign trade audits)
• Support in maintaining the Kriegswaffenbuch and in monitoring inventory and documentation as well as the proper storage of war weapons
• Participation in the further development and continuous optimization of existing processes, incl. the creation of guidelines and operating instructions

What do you bring with you?

• Successfully completed studies, preferably in the business administration or legal field, ideally with a focus on foreign trade, or commercial training with several years of relevant professional experience in the field of export control
• Relevant specialist knowledge in the field of national and international export regulations
• Knowledge in the areas of customs law and Kriegswaffenrecht is desirable
• Forward-thinking, independent working, as well as an analytical and structured way of working
• Team player, organizational and communication talent, as well as a high degree of self-motivation and resilience
• Willingness to participate in regular further training
• Business fluent English skills (spoken and written)
