The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in their learning and development. Depending on the role, you may work with individuals, small groups or whole classes.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and classroom activities.
• Working with individuals or small groups who require additional support.
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils stay focused.
• Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and activities.
• Building positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff.
• Supporting the wider school community as required.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Passionate about working with children and young people.
• Patient, caring and approachable.
• Confident in supporting pupils with different abilities and needs.
• Reliable, professional and enthusiastic.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experienced in a school or childcare setting (desirable but not essential) .

Previous school experience is advantageous, but we are also happy to consider graduates, support workers, childcare professionals and candidates with relevant transferable experience.
