Senior Settlements Analyst

Location : Leeds | Hybrid

Salary : £50,000 - £60,000

We're partnering with a highly respected and growing business in the search for a Senior Settlements Analyst to join their finance team in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced settlements, trading operations or middle office professional looking to step into a broader role that combines technical expertise, operational leadership and process improvement.

You'll take ownership of thee settlements activities whilst acting as a key point of contact for trading, finance and external counterparties. Alongside day-to-day operational delivery, you'll play a leading role in driving automation, improving controls and supporting the implementation of new commercial arrangements.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day settlements operations and act as the primary escalation point.
• Oversee reconciliations, invoicing, trade checks and month-end activities.
• Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies.
• Support credit and collateral management activities.
• Drive process improvements, automation projects and operational enhancements.
• Act as a subject matter expert across settlement calculations, controls and market processes.
• Coach and develop junior team members.

About you:

You'll likely bring:

• Experience within settlements, trading operations, middle office or a similar control-focused environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience managing reconciliations, controls and complex operational processes.
• The ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• A passion for improving processes and driving operational excellence.
• Exposure to energy markets, trading operations or market settlements would be highly advantageous.
