Head of Private Client
About the company
The firm has a strong existing workload and an established client base, offering a solid platform for someone looking to take on greater responsibility and make their mark.
Your tasks
An opportunity to take the next step in your Private Client career, with the chance to lead an established department, develop a team and help shape its future.
With a succession plan in place for the current departmental lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring a smooth handover before taking the department forward.
You'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, support and develop colleagues, and identify opportunities to grow the practice across Harrogate and the wider Yorkshire market. Dedicated marketing and business development support is available to help you build on the department's existing strengths.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll handle a varied Private Client caseload, including complex estate administration, trusts, wills and succession planning.
Importantly, the firm recognises the demands of a senior management role, with targets that take account of your departmental responsibilities rather than placing an unrealistic emphasis on personal billing.

We're interested in speaking with experienced Private Client professionals who are ready to take on a leadership role and contribute to the continued success of an established team.

- Qualification as a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent senior practitioner.

- Strong technical knowledge across wills, trusts, probate and estate administration.
- The ability to build relationships with clients and professional referrers.
- A commercial outlook and an interest in developing a successful department.
- A confident, approachable and supportive leadership style.
