Hunter Steel is seeking a reliable and skilled *G licensed* Delivery Driver to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are delivered accurately, safely, and on time while maintaining a high standard of customer service. *Responsibilities*
- Operate a 20' flatbed truck to transport steel within a 150km radius, must be comfortable with downtown Toronto deliveries.
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload material (when necessary) ensuring proper handling using a forklift and overhead crane.
- Tarp and strap loads safely and efficiently.
- Verify materials and quantities against delivery documentation when loading truck and delivering.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery from customers, and ensure proper paperwork is carried at all times.
- Communicate effectively with office staff and warehouse team members and customers
- Assist with warehouse duties when assigned
- Company supplied uniforms after probationary period
*Qualifications*
- Valid G driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract
- Previous delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts or overhead crane (asset)
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Must be 25+
*Physical Requirements*
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (typically up to 50 lbs or more)
- Comfortable with frequent loading and unloading
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
- Capable of working in various weather conditions
*Hours: *Typical shift is 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday ? Friday. Hours may vary.
