Job Description:

Support the Foreign Trade department in the management, control, and monitoring of import and export operations for materials, components, and finished products, contributing to compliance with internal procedures and the customs and foreign trade regulations applicable to the company's operations.

The intern will have the opportunity to develop practical knowledge related to IMMEX operations, customs documentation, pedimentos, tariff classification, material control, coordination with customs agents, and shipment tracking.

What you will do

Support the review and organization of documentation related to import and export operations.

Follow up on shipments of raw materials, components, spare parts, and finished products.

Support the review of commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, transport documents, and other documentation required for operations.

Maintain updated files and internal controls for foreign trade operations.

Support the review of information from import and export pedimentos.

Follow up with customs agents and suppliers regarding pending documentation.

Support in the identification and tracking of documentary discrepancies.

Collaborate in the collection of information necessary to determine or validate tariff fractions, NICO, description of goods, country of origin, and country of provenance.

Support the documentary control of materials imported under the IMMEX program.

Follow up on documentation related to notices, permits, regulations, and non-tariff restrictions, when applicable.

Support the integration of foreign trade files for internal audits or authority requirements.

Maintain communication with the Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, Production, and customs agents areas to obtain information necessary for operations.

Support the preparation of reports and analyses related to import and export operations.

Identify opportunities to improve controls and administrative processes of the area.

Comply with the company's procedures, internal policies, and safety and confidentiality requirements.

Who you are

Active student of:

International Trade and/or Foreign Trade.

Business Management.

Business Administration.

Logistics or a related degree.

Availability to perform professional internships.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Basic-intermediate English, preferably.

Knowledge of IMMEX and import/export operations, preferably.
