PDM / PLM Project Manager

The Mission

Within the technology division of a leading industrial player, the PLM Project Manager orchestrates the digital transformation related to the product lifecycle. This strategic role articulates business vision and technical imperatives, from defining target architectures and migration strategies to the operational deployment of solutions. The expert intervenes across the entire project lifecycle, including scoping, steering configuration phases, data management, and change management, while ensuring the sustainability and performance of systems in production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the global program as well as associated cross-functional initiatives.

Unite internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring liaison between technical teams, business experts, and project management assistance.

Analyze, challenge, and formalize business requirements, including data modeling and process mapping.

Supervise the drafting of functional and technical specifications, while validating architecture choices and budget estimates.

Audit provider recommendations, steer anomaly resolution, and guarantee rigorous updates to documentation.

Define and steer the solution's evolution trajectory (roadmap).

Conduct organizational transformation projects and support end users in the adoption of new tools.

Control the compliance of third-party partner deliverables against scope and schedule commitments.

Structure the deployment of functionalities through successive stages.

Drive the evolution strategy of the application base to meet future needs.

Supervise interoperability between the central platform and the information systems of decentralized entities.

Coordinate acceptance testing and functional validation phases.

Guarantee the integrity and consistency of the global application ecosystem.

Maintain up-to-date mapping of flows between the PLM and peripheral tools.

Desired Profile

Academic background and experience: Holder of a higher education degree (Engineer, Business School, or University Master's), the selected candidate possesses confirmed expertise of 8 to 10 years acquired within demanding industrial environments or the luxury sector. In-depth mastery of product lifecycles (PLM) and master data management (MDM) is indispensable.

Architecture and modeling: Demonstrated ability to design complex systems, formalize precise technical specifications, and structure coherent data schemas. A global vision of application architecture is required.

Systems interoperability: Excellent understanding of inter-application exchange flows, particularly interfaces between production management tools, product lifecycle solutions, customer relationship tools, and data repositories.

Steering and methodology: Mastery of project management standards (such as PMP or Prince2) including planning, operational monitoring, and risk management. Significant experience in steering large-scale programs is expected.

Tools and processes: Common use of project tracking platforms (such as Jira). Ability to audit existing business processes to effectively translate them into functional solutions within a PLM environment.

Soft Skills and posture: Profile endowed with natural leadership, capable of acting as a true business partner. Excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and active listening skills to unite teams around projects.

Change management: Proven experience in supporting organizational transformations and ensuring user buy-in for new tools.

Languages: Mastery of technical English is indispensable for evolving in an international professional context.

Education: Graduate of a major engineering, business, or university school, you have at least 8-10 years of professional experience in the industry or luxury sector on similar issues: PLM and/or in product development and product master data (MDM) functions.
