The mission
The context
Within a structure in the midst of a transformation phase, the department dedicated to procurement and supplier management is undergoing a scaling-up project. Under the supervision of a dedicated management team, the objective is to strengthen process maturity and optimize overall spend performance. This hub acts as a strategic partner to various business units, covering a wide spectrum including technological infrastructures, communication levers, as well as cross-functional service provisions and routine operational needs.
The mission
Reporting directly to the procurement hierarchy, the employee will be responsible for managing a portfolio of specific categories. They will act as a true advisor to internal departments to secure and optimize contractual and pricing conditions.
Main responsibilities include:
Manage full consultation cycles (tenders, direct negotiations) while ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and internal standards.
Ensure operational management and performance monitoring of strategic contracts.
Manage the lifecycle of the relationship with key partners within the scope.
Provide advisory expertise to internal requesters, particularly on identifying alternative solutions and optimizing needs.
Actively contribute to the definition and deployment of the strategy for assigned purchasing families.
Actively participate in the structuring and continuous improvement of the department's methods and tools.
Take part in synergies and exchanges with partner entities within the group to harmonize practices.
Profile sought
Profile sought:
Master's degree level (engineering curriculum or high-ranking management).
Professional background of approximately five years within global organizations, specifically in the scope of acquiring technological solutions, digital infrastructures, or connectivity.
In-depth mastery of the IT service provider ecosystem and the strategic dynamics inherent to these fields.
Strong aptitude for diplomacy, persuasion, and conducting complex negotiations.
Demonstrated ability to structure complex data, operational rigor, and a results-oriented culture.
Appetite for disruptive innovations, with particular attention paid to artificial intelligence tools and their leverage on operational efficiency.
Fluent command of the English language, in both formal and informal exchanges.
Success factors:
The ability to quickly master complex technical environments and decipher market value propositions will be decisive. Natural interpersonal skills, combined with an appetite for cross-functional and multicultural work dynamics, will facilitate strategic alignment with internal stakeholders.
Skills and experience required
Education: Master's degree (engineering school and/or business school)
Experience in IT procurement (software) and/or telecom. No hardware or intellectual services.
Fluent English - experience in international environments
