Measurement of winding resistances. Insulation testing with a megohmmeter** and technical interpretation of results. Diagnosis of electrical faults in motors. Verification of continuity, windings, connections, and conditions before energizing. Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures. Disassembly, inspection, and basic criteria associated with electric motor repair. Electric transformers: operating principles put into practice, identification of windings, connections, transformation ratios, measurements, tests, and diagnosis. Correct use of multimeter, clamp meter, megohmmeter, and other electrical instruments. Rigorous application of safety procedures before intervening or energizing equipment.
