Technical Buyer

Manage the purchasing and sourcing process for materials, components, equipment, services, and supplies required by the production, engineering, maintenance, and service areas, ensuring competitive conditions in terms of cost, quality, and delivery time.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze purchase requirements and the needs of internal areas.
• Request, compare, and negotiate quotes with national and international suppliers.
• Issue and follow up on purchase orders in SAP/ERP.
• Monitor delivery dates and follow up with suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, delivery times, payment terms, warranties, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, Service, and Finance.
• Follow up on material reception and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for savings and improvement in costs and supply times.
• Keep documentation related to purchases and suppliers up to date.
• Coordinate shipments and logistics documentation when necessary.

Requirements

Education: Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Industrial Administration, International Business Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement. Desirable experience of 5 years in technical purchasing within manufacturing, metalworking, maintenance, engineering, or industrial projects. Experience in negotiation and supplier development. Proficiency in SAP or some ERP for the creation and follow-up of purchase orders. Intermediate-advanced Excel. Knowledge of materials, components, spare parts, and industrial services. Desirable interpretation of blueprints and technical specifications. Desirable knowledge of international purchasing, import/export, and Incoterms. Advanced English.
