Pipe Threader / Field Hand

Job Description Hughes Fabrication & Welding is looking for a dependable Pipe Threader / Field Hand to assist with industrial field installation work. We have ongoing work involving compressed air lines, threaded piping systems, equipment installation, and general field fabrication. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with hand and power tools, and has experience measuring, cutting, threading, fitting, and installing pipe. Experience with pipe fitting, industrial maintenance, welding, or fabrication is a plus, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong mechanical experience who are willing to learn. Job Duties Measure, cut, thread, fit, and install pipe Install compressed air lines and other industrial piping systems Operate pipe threaders, saws, grinders, drills, and other hand and power tools Install pipe supports, hangers, valves, fittings, and related components Work with threaded, grooved/Victaulic, glued, and other piping systems as required Read measurements, basic drawings, layouts, and job instructions Assist with field fabrication, equipment installation, and general industrial work Safely lift, position, and handle pipe, material, and equipment Maintain tools and keep work areas organized Assist welders and fabricators when needed Follow jobsite and company safety requirements Job Requirements Experience with pipe threading, pipe fitting, industrial maintenance, construction, or similar mechanical work preferred Comfortable using tape measures, levels, squares, and common hand/power tools Ability to accurately measure and lay out work Mechanically inclined and willing to learn Able to work independently and as part of a crew Dependable and able to show up on time Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a drug test Able to perform physical field work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working on your feet Willing to work overtime and occasional weekends as jobs require Willing to travel to field jobs as needed Preferred Experience Pipe threading and fitting Compressed air piping Victaulic/grooved piping Industrial maintenance or equipment installation Welding or fabrication experience is helpful but not required Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: Day shift 8-10 hour shifts Overtime as needed Occasional weekends Work Location: In person / field locations Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 45.0 per week Benefits: Paid time off Work Location: In person
