Regulation & Certification Engineer (f/m/d)

Hug Engineering GmbH is the German subsidiary of Hug Engineering AG, a world-leading manufacturer of exhaust gas cleaning systems for large engines in mobile and stationary applications. Our applications range from small yachts with an engine power of 200 kW to large power plant engines with 20 MW. Your tasks:

• Creation and maintenance of emission certificates
• Project management for various types of certification activities
• Collaboration with technical experts to ensure the suitability of Hug Engineering products regarding emission requirements
• Maintenance of the regulatory landscape for Hug Engineering
• Collaboration with regulatory authorities and classification societies
• Participation in the development and maintenance of Hug Engineering products

What distinguishes you:

• Successfully completed studies in Maschinenbau or Verfahrenstechnik or comparable
• At least three years of professional experience in the shipping industry, preferably in connection with classification societies
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines and exhaust gas cleaning processes
• Knowledge of IMO regulations and their compliance is an advantage
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Ability to analyze technical risks regarding product emissions
• Ability to evaluate and update business practices regarding certification and marine regulations
• Strong analytical mindset, teamwork, and communication skills
• Hands-on mentality in connection with a structured and methodical way of working
