Warehouse Stock Assistant
Hue Recruitment is recruiting for an established manufacturing business in St Albans seeking an experienced Stores Technician to support its stores and production operation.
This is not a large-scale warehouse or general pick-and-pack role. The business works with small parts and components that come together to form finished items, so accuracy, traceability and attention to detail are essential .
This is a technical stores role rather than a traditional pick-and-pack warehouse position , working with small parts and components used within finished products. Accuracy, stock control and ERP experience are essential.
Key Responsibilities Receive, check and record incoming goods Manage stock movements, adjustments and works orders using an ERP system Pick and issue components to production Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock counts and audits Prepare and record internal transfers and external shipments Prepare dispatch documentation and commercial invoices Store, label and maintain traceability of parts and finished goods Load and unload deliveries using pallet stackers/pump trucks Monitor stock levels and investigate discrepancies Maintain a clean, safe and organised stores environment Carry out basic equipment checks and report maintenance requirements Support COSHH and WEEE storage and disposal procedures
Requirements Previous experience in stores, stock control, manufacturing, engineering or technical parts Strong ERP and stock control experience Experience with works orders and issuing components to production Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills Excellent attention to detail and organisation Comfortable with manual handling Forklift/pallet stacker experience advantageous
