Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead compliance governance and risk management for Singapore and Southeast Asia.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across business operations.
  • Manage major compliance matters, investigations, regulatory inquiries, and remediation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and provide timely compliance advice to management and business teams.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, including contract review, project compliance, third-party due diligence, and sanctions screening.
  • Liaise with regulators and internal stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
  • Strengthen compliance policies, processes, controls, and awareness across the organization.
  • To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Auditing, or a related discipline.
  • At least 25 years of relevant professional experience in compliance, legal, risk management, or related functions, preferably with experience in a multinational company, technology company, or large corporate group.
  • Extensive experience in anti-bribery and anti-corruption, trade compliance, import/export controls, sanctions, financial compliance, data privacy, or cybersecurity compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore's regulatory environment and international compliance standards.
  • Strong ability to interpret regulations, identify compliance risks, and provide practical compliance solutions.
  • Experience in compliance reviews, contract and project assessments, third-party due diligence, sanctions screening, and regulatory matters.
  • Relevant professional certification in compliance, legal, risk management, auditing, or related fields is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
