Foreign Trade Manager

Responsibilities and assignments We are hiring a foreign trade professional with commercial experience in Asian markets to develop new businesses. You will be responsible for the prospecting and development of new suppliers (and materials) and sales for the current client portfolio and new clients.
Business Prospecting and Development
- Prospect new clients and new business opportunities, focusing on market growth.
- Develop relationships with OEM companies in Brazil and other countries.
- Deeply understand the technical and commercial needs of clients to structure tailor-made solutions.
- Act strategically to win business from the competition, positioning technical and commercial differentials.
- Conduct in-person visits to current and potential clients, with availability for monthly travel.
- Participate in industry fairs and events in Brazil, focusing on networking and lead generation.
Commercial Management and Relationship
- Manage a portfolio while maintaining a close and consultative relationship.
- Prepare and conduct commercial proposals, negotiations, and presentations.
- Act in after-sales, monitoring deliveries, performance, and handling complaints.
- Maintain constant relationships with clients, strengthening long-term partnerships.
International Interface, Suppliers, and Product Development
- Act as the main interface between clients, internal team, engineering, and suppliers in China.
- Contribute to the prospecting and evaluation of new suppliers, in partnership with the China team.
- Participate in product development, meeting rigorous technical requirements from clients.
- Coordinate technical and commercial information to ensure adherence to market needs.
Requirements and qualifications
- Degree in foreign trade, international relations, or related fields.
- Specialization in administration is desirable.
- Clear understanding of Brazilian customs legislation and international shipment flows.
- Fluent English.
- Knowledge of Mandarin will be a differentiator.
- Experience with TRADE is essential.
