What to expect:

In our Network Operations team within the Technology/Operations department, you will participate in the realization planning and operational management tasks of an Internet Service Provider. In the five-member team, in addition to daily operations, you can expect the processing of customer orders, the execution of projects, as well as the following tasks:

• Rollout, operation, and monitoring of complex IP networks consisting of, among others, routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers in operations as well as in projects
• Monitoring as well as planning and implementation of expansions in our backbone network
• Support for 2nd-level support in the area of routing and switching
• Advising and supporting other departments in the implementation of IT projects regarding network communication and security
• Implementation of newer network technologies, as well as innovative IT solutions for optimization and automation
• Participation in the on-call service

What you bring to the table:

You have completed a technical degree in the field of IT or telecommunications technology or possess an equivalent qualification. Professional experience in a service provider environment would be desirable. You are a communicative and committed team player who can be just as enthusiastic about modern telecommunications as we are.

In addition, you should bring the following:

• Very good knowledge of common signaling and transmission protocols of IP networks
• Extensive knowledge in dealing with L3 network technologies, e.g., routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), policy-based routing, QoS, L3-MPLS
• Good knowledge in the area of Linux and scripting
• Good analytical, planning, and conceptual skills
• Ability to work in a team, willingness to learn, and communication skills
• You enjoy and are motivated by independent and goal-oriented work
• Good written and spoken English skills
