What to expect: In our Network Operations team within the Technology/Operations department, you will participate in the realization planning and operational management tasks of an Internet Service Provider. In the five-member team, in addition to day-to-day operations, you can expect the processing of customer orders, the execution of projects, as well as the following tasks: Rollout, operation, and monitoring of complex IP networks consisting of, among others, routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers in operations as well as in projects Monitoring as well as planning and implementation of expansions in our backbone network Support for 2nd-level support in the area of routing and switching Consulting and supporting other departments in the implementation of IT projects regarding network communication and security Implementation of newer network technologies, as well as innovative IT solutions for optimization and automation Participation in on-call duty
What you bring to the table: You have completed a technical degree in the field of IT or telecommunications technology or possess an equivalent qualification. Professional experience in a service provider environment would be desirable. You are a communicative and committed team player who can be just as enthusiastic about modern telecommunications as we are. Furthermore, you should bring the following: Very good knowledge of common signaling and transmission protocols of IP networks Extensive knowledge in dealing with L3 network technologies, e.g., routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), policy-based routing, QoS, L3-MPLS Good knowledge in the area of Linux and scripting Good analytical, planning, and conceptual skills Teamwork, willingness to learn, and communication skills Independent and goal-oriented work is fun for you and motivates you Good written and spoken English skills
