Job Responsibilities
Store Operations Management Manage the daily operations of the retail store , including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness and organisation. Ensure smooth store operations while adhering to company policies, procedures, and service standards. Monitor stock availability, conduct inventory checks, and support effective inventory management.
Sales & Business Performance Drive store sales performance by achieving sales targets and implementing strategies to improve revenue growth. Analyse sales performance data, identify areas of improvement, and implement initiatives to maximise sales opportunities. Monitor store expenses and recommend cost-control measures to enhance profitability.
Team Leadership & Staff Management Lead, coach, and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service. Conduct staff training, provide performance feedback, and support employee development. Manage manpower planning, staff scheduling, and daily team operations.
Customer Service Excellence Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service and a positive shopping experience. Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally. Build strong customer relationships and enhance customer loyalty through excellent service.
Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation Oversee product displays, visual merchandising, and store presentation according to company guidelines. Ensure the store environment remains organised, attractive, and aligned with brand standards to maximise sales opportunities.
Marketing & Promotions Support Support the implementation of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and in-store initiatives. Monitor customer feedback and provide insights to management to improve store performance.
Safety, Security & Compliance Ensure compliance with store safety, security, and loss prevention procedures . Implement measures to minimise stock loss and safeguard company assets.
Stakeholder Management Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient store operations.
Job Requirements
- Minimum GCE O-Level qualification ; Diploma/Degree in Business, Retail Management, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of retail experience , with at least 3 years of experience managing a retail store .
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets, managing KPIs, and driving store performance .
- Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, manpower planning, and profitability management .
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience coaching and developing retail teams.
- Good organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Willing to work retail shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays .
Preferred Experience:
- Candidates with experience in optical retail, eyewear, luxury retail, fashion retail, or lifestyle retail will have an advantage.
- Strong passion for sales, customer engagement, and delivering excellent customer experiences .
