Senior Retail Manager / Retail Operations Manager | Multi-Store Operations | ~$4,500 Gross/Month

Your tasks

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of at least two retail stores. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, operational excellence, team development and consistent brand standards across multiple outlets.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to execute business priorities, improve operational efficiency and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Retail Operations & Business Performance

• Oversee daily operations across at least two retail stores, driving sales, productivity and profitability against business targets
• Monitor retail KPIs, including sales performance, manpower productivity, stock accuracy, shrinkage and customer service standards
• Ensure consistent adherence to SOPs, company policies and operational guidelines
• Prepare stores for peak periods, promotional campaigns, warehouse sales and major retail events
• Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities, providing practical recommendations to senior management

People Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop Retail Managers, Assistant Retail Managers, department heads and store teams
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and staff development
• Strengthen leadership capabilities and succession planning for key positions
• Manage performance concerns and promote consistent people management practices

Merchandising & Store Standards

• Work with merchandising teams on stock planning and execution
• Maintain brand standards, visual merchandising, store presentation and inventory management
• Support in-store promotions, events and author sessions

Budget, Controls & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Manage manpower costs, operating expenses and wastage
• Ensure proper cash handling, audit compliance and store security controls
• Work with Finance on reporting, budget variances and operational risks
• Collaborate with HR, Marketing, IT, Finance and merchandising teams on business initiatives and process improvements
• Provide regular performance updates, highlighting key issues, risks and recommendations
• Support ad-hoc projects and other business initiatives as required

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or a related discipline is preferred
• Minimum 8 years of retail operations experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Proven experience managing multiple stores or overseeing multi-outlet operations
• Strong track record in sales management, inventory control, manpower planning and customer service operations
• Demonstrated ability to lead managers and frontline teams, improve performance and resolve customer complaints
• Strong analytical, reporting, budgeting and project management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills; bilingual communication abilities are an advantage
• Proactive, organised and commercially minded, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
