Security Officer

Sector: Manufacturing Reports to : Security Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

1. Access Control and Visitor Management •Control entry/exit; verify IDs; issue visitor passes; maintain visitor and vehicle registers; prevent unauthorized access

1. Premises Security and Patrols •Conduct patrols; inspect facilities; secure gates and restricted areas; report suspicious activity

1. Asset Protection •Protect assets; monitor movement of goods; verify gate passes

1. Incident Response •Respond to emergencies; prepare incident reports; escalate serious incidents.

1. Security Monitoring •Monitor CCTV, alarms and security equipment; report faults

1. Health, Safety and Compliance •Support safety policies; participate in drills; report hazards

1. Record Keeping and Reporting •Maintain occurrence books, patrol logs and incident reports

1. Coordination and Support •Coordinate with departments; assist during events; perform assigned duties

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Education. UCE required. UACE, Certificate or Diploma in Security Management, Criminology or related field is an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in industrial, commercial or corporate security.
• Experience with CCTV/access control and manufacturing environment is an added advantage

Working Conditions

• Factory and office environment.
• Rotational day/night shifts.
• Weekends, holidays and overtime work may be required
