Mechanical Assembly Operator

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Operator to join a busy production team assembling high-end electronic products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing electronic assemblies into housings and the ability to work accurately from written work instructions, pictures and diagrams.

Key responsibilities:

• Accurately assemble electronic assemblies into housings to specification
• Perform soldering and wire looming tasks where required (advantageous)
• Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, pictures and BOMs
• Use hand tools and light power tools safely and effectively
• Carry out basic inspection and functional checks to ensure quality
• Maintain accurate production records and complete simple reports using Excel and Word
• Adhere to health, safety and quality procedures and production targets
• Work effectively as part of a team and communicate issues to supervisors

Essential skills and experience:

• Ideally experience assembling high-end electronic assemblies into housings
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, pictures and diagrams
• Basic computer literacy including Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity and a quality-focused mindset

Desirable:

• Soldering experience
• Wire looming / cable harness assembly experience
