CAD Technician

Job Title: CAD Technician Location: Ashford Salary : £30,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience + Bonus) Job Type: Full time/permanent (Hybrid working available after initial training period)

We are looking for a CAD Technician for our Ashford based client, the ideal candidate will have strong CAD skills and experience or interest in working within the construction sector.

Key responsibilities Create, update and manage 2D and 3D CAD drawings and technical documentation Translate design concepts, sketches and site information into accurate CAD models and drawings Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain drawing standards, file naming and version control Work with project teams to ensure drawings meet design, constructability and compliance requirements Prepare layout plans, detail drawings, schedules and material lists as required Assist with clash detection, drawing issue control and handover documentation Support on site surveys and incorporate measured data into drawings when needed

Essential skills and experience Strong CAD skills with a proven track record producing high quality technical drawings Experience using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and familiarity with CAD best practices Ideally some exposure to the construction sector or building services, civil or structural projects Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers and site teams
