Production Manager (hands on)

ABOUT THE FUNCTION

Within this new function, you will be responsible for the optimization of existing production processes with a focus on the by-product stream. Together with your colleague Production Manager, you are responsible for optimizing the production site. This is with a view to further capacity growth.

This includes, among other things:

Daily management

• You are a pronounced people manager who manages about 10 line supervisors. You choose to communicate frequently with employees, follow up with them, and coach them. You anticipate and oversee maximum employee satisfaction.

Planning and work distribution

• Depending on current orders and requests, ensure that there is sufficient staffing in all departments and that work can be carried out efficiently. This includes, among other things: collecting data and mapping out production schedules. In this regard, you are the link between sales and production.

Process optimization/data analysis

• You assimilate all processes, further develop the desired procedures, evaluate them, and adjust where necessary regarding cutting yields. You thus promote operational efficiency and strengthen the competitive advantage.

Facility management and management of technical equipment

• You closely monitor all hygiene rules as well as the follow-up of the flawless operation of machines. For this, we expect sufficient technical insight to allow for the necessary measures to be taken.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a supervisor in the sector of meat processing, large-scale catering, convenience food, ...)
• You possess analytical skills.
• You can rely on relevant work experience in process optimization in the food industry.
• You have perfect command of English. Knowledge of Nederlands and Frans is a plus. You are willing to learn Nederlands.
• Experience with MS Office applications, such as Word and Excel.
