SENIOR PRODUCTION PLANNER (SEMICONDUCTOR/MNC)

Job Summary

You will lead production planning, material planning, and inventory control to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and timely customer fulfillment. Collaborate with internal teams and contract manufacturing (CM) partners to align demand and supply, optimize inventory, and improve operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain production and material planning schedules aligned with demand forecasts and available capacity to ensure smooth manufacturing flow
• Ensure availability of raw materials and finished goods to support uninterrupted production and meet on-time delivery targets
• Manage inventory control processes by monitoring stock levels and reducing Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory to optimize working capital
• Identify, assess, and mitigate E&O risks by coordinating timely actions with relevant stakeholders to minimize inventory losses
• Lead or contribute to project and process improvement initiatives within supply chain and operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel to analyze supply chain data and support informed decision-making
• Prepare management presentations using PowerPoint with clear data visualization to communicate insights, progress, and recommendations
• Apply analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to resolve supply chain challenges and enhance workflow effectiveness
• Communicate clearly and manage relationships with internal stakeholders (Production, Procurement, Sales, Logistics) and contract manufacturing partners to ensure alignment
• Support ad-hoc tasks, urgent requirements, and special assignments from management to maintain business continuity and operational readiness

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in production planning, materials planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience leading or participating in project or process improvement initiatives within supply chain or operations
• Strong expertise in inventory control, including managing Excess & Obsolete (E&O) stock
• Ability to prepare management presentations (PowerPoint) with strong analytical and data visualization skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to foster collaboration
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment
