About the Position: This position is located at Fort Rucker, Alabama, or the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia, and supports the organization by overseeing essential resource management functions. The role ensures effective use of personnel, budget, and organizational resources to help the mission operate smoothly and efficiently.

Major duties

  • Ensure compliance with Department of the Army, DoW OMB, and congressional policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate resource management and logistical support to ensure efficient and timely program execution.
  • Develop long range and short range financial management plans, policies, and resource program.
  • Review complex financial analyses, budget proposals, internal management controls, and manpower management data.
  • Provide expert advice to leadership on budget policy, resource strategy, financial management, and program requirements.
  • Create concise reports for senior leaders on program status and key trends.
  • Evaluate budget execution, financial performance, and resource use to ensure compliance and support program goals.

Applying analytical and evaluative methods to assess areas such as management systems, acquisition strategies, and business proposals. Advising on innovative concepts, theories, principles, or practices related to financial performance planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS -13. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
