Mechanical Design Engineer/Sr Engineer

Location: West, Singapore
Responsibilities:
- Translate product specifications into practical design concepts and detailed 3D models.
- Provide mechanical engineering direction for product development, process improvements and technical problem-solving.
- Validate proposed solutions through proof-of-concept development and functional testing.
- Refine component designs to simplify assembly.
- Produce detailed technical drawings with geometric tolerances and dimensional stack-up calculations.
- Review existing patents to flag potential conflicts with proposed designs.
- Coordinate development activities and milestones to deliver projects within demanding deadlines.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficient in 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA or Inventor.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis and drawing standards.
- Experience in rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing and plastic injection moulding design.
