International Business Developer | Specialty Chemicals

For an international, technologically driven player within specialty chemicals, we are looking for an International Business Developer to help realize the further growth of the European market. You will join an environment where science, innovation, and sales converge. This is not classic product sales, but complex B2B trajectories where you develop solutions for international customers together with technical experts.

Job Description

You combine business development with strategic account management. The emphasis lies on creating new commercial opportunities and building sustainable relationships with international customers. Specifically, this means you will:

• develop new business within Europe;
• build relationships with R&D, procurement, innovation, and senior managers at your customers;
• detect technical customer needs and translate these into commercial opportunities;
• guide projects from the initial conversation to validation and commercialization;
• further develop existing key accounts;
• work closely with internal R&D and product specialists;
• represent the organization at customers, trade fairs, and international events;
• be traveling within Europe 30 to 40% of the time.

You combine technical affinity with commercial impact. You possess:

• A higher education degree in chemistry, bio-engineering, or a related field.
• Approximately 5 to 10 years of commercial B2B experience.
• Experience within specialty chemicals, chemical ingredients, or a related technical environment.
• Experience with complex sales trajectories and conversations with technical stakeholders.
• A strong business development mentality.
• Very good knowledge of English.
• Entrepreneurial, curious, and down-to-earth.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
