Architect

Responsibilities:

Develop architectural concepts, designs, layouts, and detailed construction drawings. Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials Interpret client requirements and translate them into practical, innovative, and functional design solutions. Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to support project planning and design development. Coordinate architectural designs with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering requirements Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and relevant regulatory authorities. Review construction drawings, specifications, material selections, and contractor submissions. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved architectural designs and specifications. Identify and resolve design, technical, and construction-related issues Assist with project planning, cost estimates, specifications, and tender documentation Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, planning regulations, safety standards, and other statutory requirements. Prepare project reports, technical documentation, and progress updates. Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards. Stay updated on current architectural trends, construction materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices. Provide technical and design support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

A minimum of an HND in architecture. A master's degree in architecture is an added advantage. Proven relevant experience in architectural design and project execution. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Lumion, or similar architectural design software. Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building construction, and planning regulations. Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural, structural, and engineering drawings. Strong creativity, visualization, and technical drawing skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and project coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Registration with ARCON and membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is an added advantage. Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
