π« School: Northland Secondary School π Location: 3 Yishun Street 22, Singapore 768578 πΌ Employment Type: Full-Time Contract π Base Contract: 1 Jan 2027 β 15 Nov 2027 π Option Year: 1 Jan 2028 β 15 Nov 2028 π Service Period: 9Β½ months each year, excluding June and the last 2 weeks of November through December π Working Hours MondayβThursday: 7:00 AM β 4:30 PM, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break Friday: 7:00 AM β 4:00 PM, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays. π Job Summary The Student Management Officer will support the Student Discipline Unit in maintaining a positive school environment, engaging students, supporting disciplinary management, maintaining records and assisting with student intervention programmes. πΉ Key Responsibilities Student Discipline & Positive School Environment Promote and support Positive Discipline practices. Support the Student Discipline Unit in maintaining a positive school tone during school hours. Patrol the school compound, including classroom blocks, toilets and special rooms. Engage identified at-risk students and the general student population. Monitor student behaviour and provide appropriate support as directed by the Student Discipline Unit. Disciplinary Management Assist the Student Discipline Unit in investigating serious offences. Engage parents when required. Maintain and update disciplinary records in both hard-copy and electronic formats. Student Intervention Programmes Assist with intervention programmes conducted by the Student Discipline Unit, including:In-House SuspensionDetention ClassesStudents-In-Risk counselling School Premises Checks Conduct routine checks of the school premises during school hours. Check nearby areas outside the school when required, including neighbourhood void decks. Identify and report unauthorised or improper student activities according to the Student Discipline Unit's instructions. π Qualifications Minimum GCE O Level or equivalent ; OR Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar role , including experience in disciplinary management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good team player with an organised and meticulous approach. Able to multitask effectively. Proficient in:Microsoft OfficeEmailGoogle Tools πΌ Experience Experience in student management and/or disciplinary management is relevant. Candidates should be comfortable engaging with students and supporting school disciplinary processes. Ability to work effectively with the Student Discipline Unit and other school staff.
