Monday–Thursday: 7:15 AM – 4:15 PM, inclusive of 30-minute lunch break Friday: 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM, inclusive of 30-minute lunch break No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays. The school may allow a 1-hour lunch break depending on operational requirements; working hours will then end 30 minutes later.

The Receptionist cum Administrative Assistant will support the school's General Office by providing front-counter customer service, assisting students and visitors, handling administrative tasks and supporting day-to-day school operations.

πŸ”Ή Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & General Office

  • Maintain a neat and organised reception/counter area.
  • Greet and assist students, parents, staff, guests, suppliers and other visitors professionally.
  • Handle telephone enquiries, take accurate messages and direct visitors/calls to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist unwell or injured students by:
  • Escorting students to the sickbay.
  • Providing basic care and supervision.
  • Maintaining sickbay cleanliness and injury records.
  • Processing early dismissal of unwell students.
  • Contacting parents/guardians when required.
  • Maintain records of lost and found items, spare uniforms and cash found.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist with distributing documents to students and parents.
  • Maintain proper records of key issuance to students and contractors.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Update and maintain staff contact lists and movement charts.
  • Assist with updating pigeonholes in the General Office and outside HOD and Staff Rooms.
  • Prepare and issue letters or certificates for student-related matters.
  • Notify teachers of relief duties during the school term.
  • Print and issue name tags for teachers and visitors.
  • Follow relevant emergency protocols.
  • Support administrative staff during peak periods.
  • Track bus bookings and assist with facility bookings.
  • Perform photocopying, filing, scanning and data-entry.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by the Admin Manager and School Leaders.

Minimum GCE β€˜N’ Level . Certificates related to the role are advantageous, such as:

  • First Aid
  • Office Skills
  • WSQ Office Skills
  • Workplace Literacy

Proficient in Microsoft Office , including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

πŸ’Ό Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Receptionist cum Administrative Assistant in a Secondary School.
  • Prior experience working in a Secondary School environment is an added advantage.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
