Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures and programmes in compliance with Singapore WSH regulations and airport safety requirements .
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions and potential hazards.
- Ensure all workers, subcontractors and site personnel comply with WSH requirements, safe work procedures and airport-specific safety and security requirements .
- Prepare and maintain WSH documentation, including Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), inspection reports and incident records.
- Organize and conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and WSH orientation for new workers.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, prepare reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, airport stakeholders and relevant authorities on WSH matters.
- Coordinate and monitor corrective actions arising from safety inspections, audits and regulatory or airport authority visits.
- Ensure all statutory safety certificates, permits and workers' training records are valid and up to date.
- Assist in emergency preparedness planning and conduct emergency response drills.
- Promote a positive safety culture through regular engagement, safety campaigns and site activities.
- Perform any other WSH and administrative duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Minimum Nitec/Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health or a related discipline.
- Possess a valid WSH Coordinator certificate .
- Minimum 2 years of relevant WSH experience in the construction industry, with proven airport project experience being a must.
- Prior experience working on airport projects, preferably within or around Changi Airport, is mandatory.
- Familiar with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, WSH Regulations, Codes of Practice and MOM requirements.
- Familiar with airport safety procedures, permit requirements and working within a controlled airport environment .
- Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation and WSH documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with workers, subcontractors, project teams and airport stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Able to work independently, proactive and capable of managing multiple site responsibilities.
- Willing to work on site and travel between project locations when required.
