About HomelyCare
HomelyCare is a local home-support services company that was founded by two caregivers who know first-hand how hard it can be to care for a loved one while managing a home. We built HomelyCare to give families the dependable, caring help we once needed ourselves, through elder care, residential cleaning and grocery assistance. We're also proud to create flexible work opportunities for Singaporeans and PRs, so they can earn on their own terms while making a real difference to our ageing community.
About the role
As a Residential Cleaner, you'll help families keep their homes clean, safe and comfortable. Many of our clients are busy caregivers or seniors living at home, so your work makes a real difference to their daily lives. This is a freelance role: you choose the assignments that fit your availability and are paid per assignment.
What you'll do
- Clean homes thoroughly, including living areas, bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms
- Sweep, vacuum and mop floors, and dust furniture and surfaces
- Clean kitchen surfaces, appliance exteriors and sinks
- Clean and sanitise toilets, showers and basins
- Take out rubbish and tidy common areas
- Change bed linen and do light laundry when requested
- Follow each client's special instructions, including using their own cleaning equipment and products when they ask
- Handle clients' belongings with care and respect their privacy
- Report any damage, safety hazards or concerns to HomelyCare
- Follow HomelyCare's cleaning guidelines and keep client information confidential
Requirements
- Experience in residential or commercial cleaning is an advantage
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning products and equipment
- Thorough, careful and attentive to detail
- Honest, trustworthy and respectful of clients' homes and belongings
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Physically fit for active work, including bending, lifting and standing for long periods
- Friendly and patient, especially when working in homes with seniors
- Ability to speak Hokkien, Teochew or Cantonese is an advantage, as some of our senior clients are most comfortable conversing in dialect
