About Us

HomelyCare is a local home-support services company that was founded by two caregivers who know first-hand how hard it can be to care for a loved one while managing a home. We built HomelyCare to give families the dependable, caring help we once needed ourselves, through elder care, residential cleaning and grocery assistance. We're also proud to create flexible work opportunities for Singaporeans and PRs, so they can earn on their own terms while making a real difference to our ageing community.

About the role

As an Elderly Caregiver, you'll provide hands-on, non-medical care to seniors in their homes, helping them stay safe, comfortable and as independent as possible. This is a independent freelance contractor role: you choose the assignments that fit your availability and are paid per assignment, per hour basis.

What you'll do

  • Help with activities of daily living, including showering, toileting and personal hygiene
  • Assist with bed transfers and mobility
  • Prepare meals
  • Give medication reminders
  • Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Support seniors recovering at home after surgery
  • Guide light exercises and engagement activities, including activities for seniors with mild dementia
  • Escort seniors to medical appointments
  • Provide companionship and check-in visits
  • Observe the senior's wellbeing and report any concerns to HomelyCare
  • Keep a safe, respectful and caring environment
  • Follow HomelyCare's care guidelines and keep client information confidential

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on caregiving experience with seniors, at home or in a care facility
  • A recognised caregiving certificate, such as a WSQ/ HMI caregiving course or equivalent
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification (required)
  • Confident with personal care, including showering, toileting and safe transfer techniques
  • Patient, caring and responsible
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to speak Hokkien, Teochew or Cantonese is a bonus, as many of our senior clients are most comfortable conversing in dialect.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to show their caregiving and First Aid/CPR certificates at the interview.

What we offer

  • Competitive hourly rates for experienced caregivers
  • Meaningful work supporting seniors in the community
