About the Position

Holiday Inn Ottawa East is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused *Banquet Servers* to join our Food & Beverage team. The Banquet Server will assist with the successful execution of weddings, meetings, conferences, receptions, and other events while providing professional and friendly service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and other event requirements.
• Welcome and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverages according to hotel standards and event requirements.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently throughout events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events.
• Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown as required.
• Communicate effectively with the Banquet Supervisor, Food & Beverage team, kitchen staff, and other departments.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Follow all hotel policies, food safety standards, and Health & Safety procedures.
• Assist with closing and cleaning duties at the end of each event.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous banquet, restaurant, hotel, or customer service experience is an asset.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy events.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift/move banquet equipment as required.
• Smart Serve certification is an asset.
• Food Handler certification is an asset.

Pay: $18.42 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 ? 24.0 per week
