Technical Inside Sales (m/f/d) (Sales Assistant)

Your Tasks

The advertised position in inside sales forms the interface between our field sales service as a contact person for the customer and the quotation clerks and project managers of the technical departments.

• Checking incoming inquiries and comparing them with our portfolio
• Clarifying technical and scheduling questions regarding the inquiries in coordination with the field sales service or directly with the customer
• Compilation of inquiry documents and forwarding them to the corresponding specialist departments
• Regular communication with the specialist departments
• Support in the creation and follow-up of quotations
• Active support of the field sales service in the care of existing customers and acquisition of new customers
• Support of the Sales Department Manager with internal reporting, especially in the evaluation of inquiries, quotations, and orders

Your Qualifications

• Completed technical studies or completed further training as a state-certified technician (m/f/d) or Industriemeister IHK specializing in metal (m/f/d) or a comparable technical qualification/training
• Professional experience in technical inside sales, preferably also with direct customer service, is desirable
• Strong negotiating skills as well as a high level of customer orientation
• Strong communication skills, commitment, and a high degree of responsibility and cost awareness
• Good user knowledge of common IT tools
• Good English skills
