At Hochschule Aalen, the following position is to be filled at the earliest possible date in the International Business Administration department of the Faculty of Business and Health:

W2 Professorship "Business Development und Innovation"

Your activities:

• Representation of the field of Business Development und Innovation in teaching, research, and transfer.
• Conducting courses, particularly in the areas of Business Development, business model development and innovation, innovation management, product management, entrepreneurship, as well as growth and scaling strategies.
• Participation in fundamental business administration courses, particularly in the areas of Marketing or Human Resource Management.
• Initiation and implementation of application-oriented research and transfer projects with companies and public institutions.
• Active participation in the further development of the course offerings and profile building in the field of innovation and startups.
• Engagement in academic self-administration as well as in the internationalization of the university.

Your profile:

You bring the following requirements for appointment (cf. among others § 47 Landeshochschulgesetz Baden-Württemberg):

• A completed university degree in BWL or another relevant course of study.
• Special ability for scientific work, which is generally demonstrated by a relevant doctorate.
• Several years of professional and leadership experience (at least three years) outside the university sector, particularly in at least one of the areas of Business Development, corporate development, innovation management, strategy consulting, corporate management, or entrepreneurship.
• Experience in the development, implementation, and scaling of innovative business models.
• Sound knowledge in the areas of innovation, business model development, strategy, and corporate development.
• Enjoyment of practice-oriented and interactive teaching as well as cooperation with companies.
• Willingness to actively participate in university-wide innovation and startup activities.
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken, and the willingness to offer English-language courses.
• Research activities in one or more of the following subject areas are desirable: National and international Business Development, business model development, product management, entrepreneurial scaling, as well as Twin Transformation.

Provided that the requirements for civil service status are met, the initial appointment upon first call will be to a probationary civil service relationship. Upon proven suitability, appointment to a permanent civil service relationship will follow. The conclusion of a fixed-term employment contract as an employee is possible.
